The pictures above have been taken by the owners over the last few years and provide a sample of some of the scenic delights of this part of West Crete: the harbour at Chania; the beautiful White Mountains; the pretty and unspoiled resorts of Almirida and Kalives; the rugged coastline near Drapanos (a few miles east of Plaka) and slightly further afield, Rethymno about 45 minutes from the villa towards Heraklion, and Elafonisos on the south-west coast (about one and a half hours scenic journey away by car).
